Researchers have developed a new rapid prototyping technique for fluoropolymer microfluidic device. This microfluidic device was fabricated by two steps: (1) cutting commercially available fluoropolymer films using a computer controlled cutting plotter and (2) heat pressing fluoropolymer films using a heat press machine. The technique provides a simple, low-cost avenue to create fluoropolymer microfluidic channels for handling strong organic solvents.
